Our Staff

The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Dr. David Petersen
Dr. David Petersen was raised in Westminster, California where he graduated from La Quinta High School.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Brigham Young University.  Dr. Petersen earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in 1998 from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.  He completed his residency training in podiatric medicine and foot surgery at the University of Southern California/L.A. County Hospital.  He followed this with a 2 year fellowship in Advanced Foot & Ankle Surgery in Irvine, California. 

Dr. Petersen has practiced in Orange County since 1998 and is currently associated with the American, California, and Orange County Chapters of Podiatric Medical Associations.  He is an Eagle Scout and loves playing basketball, soccer, and beach volleyball.  He also enjoys playing the piano and organ at his local church.  He and his wife have four children.

 

Dr. Ken Vogen
Dr. Kenneth Vogen was born and raised in Long Beach, California.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.  Dr. Vogen received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in 1981 from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Foot Surgery at the USC/Southern California Podiatric Medical Center and Associated Hospitals in Los Angeles.

Dr. Vogen started his private practice in Long Beach, California in 1983.  At the same time, he became an Attending Staff member at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center and received academic appointment as Associate Clinical Professor at the California College of Podiatric Medicine.  In 1992, Dr. Vogen sold his private practice and began working full time for the Department of Veterans Affairs at their downtown Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Clinic.  At the VA Outpatient Clinic, the demand for diabetic wound care and foot surgery for the Veteran population was substantial.  In 2002, Dr. Vogen left the VA to join Foot Doctors of Orange County as a wound care specialist.  Dr. Vogen is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.
